Armenia is located in the South Caucasus region, and somehow located in one of our border regions between Europe and Asia, the official language of this country is Armenian, and its neighbors are Iran – Azerbaijan – Georgia and Turkey.
This country is considered as one of the destinations for tourism due to the close proximity and affordable rates on one hand and the cost of living and eating food.
Among the places of interest in Armenia are the following:
Geghard Church – Garni Temple – Jermuk City – Valley of Flowers – Lake Sevan – Stark City – Republic Square in Yerevan – Opera House and Sports Complex Hama Lair
The Garni Temple is in fact the Garni Castle and includes a collection of facilities and buildings that have made it unique. The main building of this temple was built in the first century AD, and the existence of hot and cold water ponds created a special bathroom for Khosrow Parviz’s girl that was decorated with beautiful tiles.
The city is considered a tourist place with its unique climate and mineral water springs, which have health benefits.
The existence of beautiful nature – waterfalls – the rivers and springs of water therapy and drinking water make this region a special area.
Valley of flowers
This valley is one of the tourist places in Armenia, which is a place for skiing with a lot of snowfall for beloved. In the summer, despite the unique nature and the presence of numerous trees and flowers, it is known as the valley of flowers.
The valley is located in 50 km away from the city of Yerevan, and the existence of 6 ancient and historic churches dating back to the first century AD made the valley a center for attracting tourists.
The lake originates mainly through springs that are constantly erupting under the lake, with an area of 940 square kilometers and an altitude of 2000 meters. This lake is one of the most attractive tourist attractions in Armenia, with amusement centers, restaurants, horseback riding and tennis courts, as well as many resorts surrounded by it.
In the area of Sevan, there is a very old and historic church called Ara Cloves, which dates back to the 9th century AD.
In the city’s myths, there was a seven-year-old prince named “Serkis”, whom three sisters love this prince; two older sisters decide to end their lives due to their third and younger sister, and with wearing red dresses and the other yellow, they throw themselves down from the valley of Stark and commit suicide, but the younger sister also throws herself down to the bottom with white dress from the Stark Valley, after the incident Prince Serkis, who was very upset about this, builds three churches in this valley as a memory of these three sisters, each of these churches in a dress of one of the sisters (yellow, red and white). The red church is now in the best position, perhaps a sign of the indescribable love of the red sister.
Republic Square in Yerevan
This square is one of the main hotspot of the city of Yerevan. The existence of buildings and monuments in this elliptical field, such as the State Department, the government cabinet, the Central Executive Board, the Maritime Chain Hotels, and … have given particular attention to this field.
This field is also a venue for fireworks and celebrations with unrivaled lighting, which is a great place for tourists to visit.
Opera House of Katha Turan
The building is ranked among the top ten opera houses in terms of architectural ranking and charming expectations.
The construction of this beautiful building dates back to 1931, and 1936 gold medal from Paris is belongs to it.
This venue, especially in the summer, is the venue for entertaining concerts by artists from all over the world.
Sports Complex of Hama Lair
It is a beautiful building for international and sports concerts and exhibitions, it also has a field for ice dancing, with its unique architecture, which is an eagle ready to fly, added to its attractiveness.
